Jenisha has 12 years’ experience in video production, most of which is in the broadcasting sector. She attained a triple major degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban and worked as a journalist at The North Coast Chronicle until she got her big break in the broadcast industry as a Production Manager for the SABC.
In 2011, Jenisha started work as a TV presenter at StarTV. She is also a voice-over artist who has done VO work for MaQ, Heineken, SANRAL, StarTV, and CCTV. She is now a Meropa Visual Senior Producer and was part of the team that bagged Meropa’s Campaign of the Year award for two consecutive years.
At Meropa Communications, Jenisha is responsible for producing top-notch video content for blue-chip clients, earning recognition for her excellence with awards for ‘Campaign of the Year’ in both 2017 and 2018. Her skill set and exceptional attention to detail have made her an integral member of the team, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standard.
Before joining Meropa Communications, Jenisha held various roles in the media industry. She worked as a TV Producer and Production Manager at I Love That Productions between May 2015 and December 2016, where she was responsible for post-production management, content quality control, proofreading all written material, managing clients, and troubleshooting and resource management. Jenisha’s excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively ensured that projects were delivered to the highest standard, making her an asset to the company.
Jenisha also worked as a Client Liaison and Production Manager at Red Pepper Pictures between January 2013 and April 2015, where she managed all production needs, external relations, and crew and sets. Her ability to manage projects, coupled with her attention to detail, made her an integral part of the team, ensuring that productions were delivered on time and within budget.
Jenisha’s experience in the media industry is not limited to production, as she has also worked as a TV Presenter for StarTV between September 2011 and December 2013. In this role, she was responsible for preparing links, interviewing people, thinking on her feet, improvising and adapting to change, presenting to the camera, doing voiceovers for programs, and staying focused at all times. Her on-screen presence and excellent communication skills made her a natural fit for the role, earning her accolades from viewers and industry professionals alike.
